Interior Ministry Official Discusses Cooperation with Geneva Call Organization

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Human Resources and Financial Affairs, Major General Dr. Qaed Atef, held talks today with representatives of the Geneva Call organization on enhancing joint cooperation and developing training and qualification programs for Ministry of Interior personnel.
The discussions focused on improving staff capacity in the areas of civilian protection and facilitating the safe delivery of humanitarian aid in accordance with international humanitarian standards.
The two sides also reviewed a proposal to integrate modern training modules into future qualification plans, including cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, in line with recent technological developments aimed at improving institutional performance in security and administrative work.
The meeting addressed a joint training program coordinated with civil society organizations and the Ministry of Interior, aimed at strengthening the application of international humanitarian law and human rights law, as well as enhancing the protection of civilians in conflict areas.
