Defense Minister Chairs Exceptional Military Meeting to Review Field Developments and Combat Readiness

Defense Minister Lieutenant General Tahir Al-Aqili chaired an expanded and extraordinary military meeting on Tuesday in Marib province to review the latest battlefield developments and assess the level of combat readiness across various units of the armed forces.

The meeting brought together the Chief of the General Staff, the Inspector General, assistants to the Defense Minister, heads of military authorities and departments, commanders of the Sixth and Seventh Military Regions, and the Chief of Staff of the Third Military Region.

The session focused on reviewing field updates, implementation of military plans and programs, and assessing regional and domestic developments and their impact on the situation in Yemen.

It also addressed key challenges and constraints, discussing practical measures to enhance operational efficiency and improve readiness across all formations and units.

During the meeting, Al-Aqili received detailed briefings from heads of military authorities and department directors covering operational performance, combat readiness levels, and achievements in training, qualification, and logistical support.

The briefings also outlined ongoing plans aimed at strengthening institutional development and improving the capabilities of military units to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.
