The Eradah Organization Against Torture and Enforced Disappearance has announced that it has documented 752 cases of enforced disappearance in detention facilities operated by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia since 2014, including 237 children. The organization also recorded numerous violations linked to torture and enforced disappearance.
The findings were presented during a human rights seminar held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on the sidelines of the Human Rights Council session under the title, “Victims of Torture and Enforced Disappearance: Impunity and the Urgent Need for Accountability.”
The event brought together representatives of diplomatic missions, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, UN mechanisms, international organizations, and civil society groups.
