23 Houthi Militia Elements, Including Two Leaders, Killed in Failed Attack Northwest of Al-Dhalea

The Armed Forces foiled an attack launched at dawn on Thursday by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia on military positions across several fronts northwest of Al-Dhalea Governorate, following intense clashes that inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment on the militia.

Military sources told September Net that the Armed Forces engaged in fierce clashes while repelling the Houthi militia attack on military positions in the Hajar and Al-Fakher fronts, forcing the militia elements to retreat and flee.

According to the sources, the clashes resulted in the killing of 23 Houthi militia elements and the wounding of dozens more, in addition to the capture of seven militia elements by the Armed Forces. Four Armed Forces personnel were martyred and 10 others were wounded while performing their national duty.

Meanwhile, local sources in Ibb Governorate told September Net that several ambulances arrived at hospitals in the governorate carrying dozens of killed and wounded Houthi militia elements, including leader Mohammed Yahya Al-Madani, known as “Abu Aseer,” and field leader Jassar Al-Qafri.

The sources confirmed that the militia had deployed large reinforcements from Ibb Governorate and other governorates before launching the attack in an attempt to achieve a breakthrough on the Hajar front. However, the Armed Forces were at a high level of readiness and succeeded in foiling the attack, inflicting heavy losses on the militia, turning the operation into a major defeat with significant losses among its ranks.
