Al-Arada Calls for Stronger Action Against Iranian Support for Houthi Militia

Presidential Leadership Council Member Lt. Gen. Sultan al-Arada called for stronger international measures against Iran’s support for the Houthi terrorist militia, warning of threats to regional security, maritime navigation, and global trade.

During a virtual meeting with Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy to Yemen Zhao Zheng, al-Arada stressed the need to pressure Iran to stop its support for the Houthis and to end attacks targeting the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and international shipping routes.

He highlighted China’s role in supporting UN efforts and international resolutions to enhance regional stability and protect maritime security.
