Armed Forces Spokesman: We Are Ready to Restore State Authority Across Entire National Territory

The Spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brig. Gen. Abdu Mujali, affirmed that the Armed Forces maintain the highest level of readiness and full combat preparedness to consolidate security and stability and restore state authority across the entire national territory.

In remarks to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Brig. Gen. Mujali warned against the continued attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia on commercial vessels and its threats to the security of the Red Sea and the freedom of international navigation.He noted that the attacks reflect the militia’s connection to the Iranian project aimed at undermining Yemeni and regional national security, and threatening international interests.

Brig. Gen. Mujali said that, under the directives of the political leadership, the Armed Forces continue to coordinate with the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy to deter Houthi terrorist threats, secure maritime routes, protect international navigation, and combat Houthi terrorism, considering this a national responsibility and a firm commitment to safeguarding the security of Yemen and the region while preserving international peace and security.

He affirmed that the Yemeni Armed Forces maintain the highest level of readiness, full combat preparedness and possess the operational capability, professional competence, and high morale required to carry out various military missions and defend the security and sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen.

Mujali pointed out that the Armed Forces, with the support of the Yemeni people, will continue to fulfill their national duty until state institutions are restored, security and stability are consolidated, and state authority is restored across the entire national territory.

He also explained that the military operations carried out by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, were launched in response to Houthi attacks targeting Saudi vessels in the Red Sea. He addad that the operations were conducted in accordance with the provisions of international humanitarian law while ensuring the protection of the Yemeni people’s national resources.
