Joint Security Operation Eliminates ISIS Spokesperson in Seiyon

The Central Security Organization (CSO) announced today, Tuesday, that a joint security operation carried out by the coalition’s joint special forces and the Yemeni Counter-Terrorism Force (Force 22) managed to eliminate the ISIS terrorist spokesman, known as (Abu Hudhaifa al-Ansari), while he was hiding in a residential house in the city of Seiyon, Hadhramaut governorate.
The CSO explained in a statement that the operation was carried out at dawn today, based on the frameworks of cooperation and intelligence exchange between the CSO and the Joint Forces Command of the Saudi-led Coalition Supporting Legitimacy.
According to the statement the wanted person was accompanied by eight civilians, including a man, two women and five children.
The CSO also reported that the operation resulted in the arrest of a person was present in the house, after he resisted and was injured, and that he was given the necessary medical care before being moved to a safe place.
During the site survey and evidence collection, a number of items were found, including a suicide belt was defused and detonated to eliminate any risk to civilians, two laptops, five mobile phones and two tablets. All were seized and documented by the relevant authorities.
The CSO confirmed that women and children were taken out of the house and moved to a safe place without any harm.
