Dozens of Houthi Militia Members Killed, Injured and Captured in Clashes with Yemeni Armed Forces in Western Taiz

Dozens of Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia members were killed and injured on Thursday during intense clashes on several fronts in western Taiz Governorate.

Military sources told September Net that the clashes erupted at dawn after the Houthi militia attempted to attack Armed Forces positions on several fronts in Maqbanah District.

The sources said the Armed Forces repelled the Houthi attacks and forced the militia’s elements to retreat and flee from several positions.

The sources added that the fighting involved heavy and medium weapons and continued for hours on the fronts of Al-Ahtoub, Al-Tuwair, Al-Kuwaikha, Al-Qashaa, Mount Ghubari, Rahnaq and Hemyar in Maqbanah, amid artillery exchanges and direct clashes.

As the fighting intensified, the Armed Forces launched counterattacks on the Al-Kadaha Front after the Houthi militia attempted to make a field breakthrough but failed.

According to the sources, more than 18 Houthi militia members were neutralized, dozens more were injured and others were captured.

Following the clashes, the Armed Forces took control of several positions abandoned by the militia and seized military equipment and ammunition.

They also destroyed a number of Houthi military vehicles, killing those aboard.
Amid the ongoing escalation, the Houthi terrorist militia targeted the civilian Al-Wazi’iyah Bridge with a ballistic missile and launched attacks toward several areas in Taiz and along the western coast.

At the same time, the Air Defenses shot down three Houthi militia drones over areas of Jabal Habashi District as they attempted to target Armed Forces positions.

The Houthi militia also fired about 14 ballistic missiles toward rural areas in Mokha and Khokha and several districts along the western coast, targeting populated areas and civilian facilities.
