The Executive Unit for IDP Camps Management recorded the displacement of 2,183 families in Taiz and Hodeidah governorates as of September 5, 2026, due to the escalation by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia.
The unit said 1,643 families, comprising 8,896 people, were displaced in Taiz. In Hodeidah, 540 families were displaced, including 394 who settled in Hays and 146 in Khokha.
The displaced families urgently need shelter, food, water and sanitation, non-food items, cash assistance, healthcare, protection and psychological support.
The unit called on the UN, international and local organisations, donors and humanitarian partners to provide urgent assistance and strengthen the response in displacement and reception areas.
