Foreign Minister, Her Egyptian Counterpart Discuss Joint Cooperation, Security of Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba discussed today, Monday, with the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad Dr. Badr Abdel-Aati Yemeni-Egyptian historical relation and cooperation.
The talks took place on the sidelines of the 166th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level.
The two ministers underscored the need for expanding areas of cooperation and joint coordination.
They also emphasized the importance of arranging joint committee meetings and speeding up the formation of the Yemen-Egyptian Business Council to help boost trade, investment and economic exchange to serve the mutual interests of the two countries.
The talks covered the challenges facing the region and the escalation by Iran-allied terrorist Houthi militias in the Red Sea and the resulting economic repercussions for the neighboring countries, namely Egypt.
