The Yemeni Armed Forces on Sunday launched the battle of liberation to complete the restoration of state institutions, end the Houthi coup, and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and to enable them to exercise their right to a homeland where sovereignty belongs to the people and authority rests with the Constitution and the rule of law.

In a statement, Armed Forces spokesman Col. Majed Al-Nuzaili said the decisive battle aims to restore all state territory, establish full national sovereignty, and eliminate the remaining manifestations of the coup in areas forcibly seized by the Houthi militia. He said the militia had damaged Yemen’s social fabric and violated established tribal norms. Its actions have also had consequences beyond Yemen, affecting the regional and international spheres.

Col. Al-Nuzaili said the national battle is the true path toward restoring Yemen to its Arab fold and its rightful strategic position among its Arab brothers. He affirmed the inherent right of the state and its citizens to reclaim their full rights and live in dignity. He also affirmed the Armed Forces’ full commitment to protecting civilian lives across all areas and governorates.

The Armed Forces renewed their call to all those deceived into joining the Houthi terrorist militia, as well as those fighting in its ranks, to lay down their arms immediately, return safely to their homes, and spare themselves from a doomed battle that serves only the militia’s destructive agendas.

He affirmed that the homeland accommodates all its citizens who return to the right path. He also commended the steadfast fraternal positions of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy that serves interests of Yemen and its people.

The Armed Forces spokesman addressed the Yemeni people, saying:
“Noble people of Yemen, your heroes in the Armed Forces, along with all those fighting for the homeland, are advancing with steadfastness, determination, and unwavering resolve toward the strongholds of Houthi terrorism. Their eyes are fixed on clear victory.

Stand with your Armed Forces and support them during these historic moments in Yemen’s history.

Glory and immortality to the righteous martyrs.”
He wished the wounded heroes a speedy recovery, freedom for prisoners and detainees, and victory and honor for Yemen and its great people.
