President of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, announced on Monday the launch of “Fajr al-Yemen” or Dawn of Yemen military operation to restore state institutions, liberating the capital Sana’a and ending the coup by the Houthi militias.
In a post on the social media platform X, President al-Alimi said: “With God’s blessing, the ‘Dawn of Yemen’ operation has begun to restore state institutions, liberate the capital, Sana’a, and end the coup by the terrorist Houthi militias.”
“With God’s help, the determination of our people, the bravery of our armed forces and all military formations, and the support of our brothers and friends, Yemen will move toward a new dawn of freedom, peace, and stability,” he said.
Earlier, President al-Alimi had announced on Sunday the commencement of military operations to reclaim the remaining territory of the Republic, extend the authority of the state and its institutions across the entire national territory, and move from the stage of preparation and readiness to the stage of liberation.
He instructed the armed forces, security forces and all military formations to carry out their duties in accordance with the approved operational plans.
