Major General Amin Ali al-Akeimi took the constitutional oath before His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), today, Sunday, on his appointment as Governor of al-Jawf governorate and Commander of the al-Jawf Military Axis.
Following, ceremonies President al-Alimi met with the new governor of al-Jawf, congratulating him on the trust placed in him to lead the local authority during this important stage in the country’s history.
The President praised the key role of al-Jawf governorate and its significant national and strategic weight in the project of restoring state institutions, stressing that the positions and great sacrifices of its people in defending the republican system deserve full loyalty, care and fairness.
The president emphasized that the state and the leadership of the local authority in al-Jawf are there to reinforce field gains and build on them to recapture the remaining lands of the governorate and to end the suffering of its people, while strictly committing to protecting civilians and safeguarding public and private property.
The Chairman of the PLC urged the governor of al-Jawf to join efforts of the local authority and community, closely coordinate with military and security leaders, and overcome any disagreements or differences that could weaken the national unity.
