The Republican Decree No. (72) of 2026 was issued on Sunday, stipulating in its first Article the appointment of Major General Hussein al-Ajji Ali al-Awadhi as Governor of al-Bayda Governorate.
Republican Decree No. (73) of 2026 was also issued, stipulating in its first Article the appointment of Major General Amin Ali al-Akemi as Governor of al-Jawf Governorate and Commander of the al-Jawf Military Axis.
Article (2) of both decrees stipulates that they shall come into force from the date of their issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
