Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the interim capital Aden on Monday, where he reviewed the workflow and the level of administrative and diplomatic performance across the ministry’s various sectors.

During the visit, the prime minister listened to briefings from leaders and staff of different sectors and departments on the nature of the ministry’s responsibilities in managing the foreign relations of Yemen, strengthening its diplomatic presence at regional and international levels, and the ongoing efforts to serve Yemeni communities abroad and improve administrative and professional performance in diplomatic work.

Dr. Zindani also chaired a meeting with heads of departments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates to discuss and follow up on the course of institutional reforms undertaken by the ministry in recent years, as well as to enhance coordination between the ministry’s departments and Yemen’s diplomatic missions abroad.

The prime minister emphasized the importance of continuing the reform path implemented by the ministry, in a way that enhances institutional efficiency, advances diplomatic work, and keeps pace with the requirements of the current phase.

He also stressed the need to build on and further develop the reform steps already achieved, including giving attention to diplomatic cadres through training, qualification, and capacity building to strengthen diplomatic performance.
