Central Bank Governor discusses support for economic stability with Dutch Ambassador

Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed Ghaleb discussed on Wednesday with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Jeannette Seppen and her accompanying delegation bilateral cooperation and support for the Central Bank of Yemen in carrying out its duties and strengthening its role in achieving economic stability.

During the meeting, the governor reviewed the country’s financial and economic developments and their future prospects in light of unfavorable regional developments and their negative repercussions on various economic indicators led by the rise in energy and commodity prices.

He also reviewed transportation and insurance costs, which further intensify the challenges faced by resource-limited countries, particularly Yemen.

In this context, the governor stressed the importance of enhancing coordinated international efforts to support countries facing complex economic and humanitarian conditions in a way that helps mitigate the impact of crises and achieve a degree of economic and living stability.
