The board of the Central Bank of Yemen wrapped up its fourth meeting of 2026 on Thursday in Aden, chaired by Governor Ahmed Ghaleb, focusing on recent economic and financial developments and the outlook ahead amid ongoing regional and global challenges.

Discussions centered on policy measures needed to contain risks, preserve monetary and economic stability, and ease pressure on people’s livelihoods within the limits of available resources.

Board members also reviewed progress on the bank’s reform agenda, implemented in coordination with international partners and donors, stressing the need to stay on schedule and improve execution to deliver tangible results.
