Houthi Terrorist Militia Artillery Shells Civilians’ Homes in Taiz

The Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia targeted civilians’ homes and property with heavy artillery on Monday in Al-Shaqab, southeast of Taiz, and Maqbanah, west of the governorate, causing significant damage to civilian property.

A military source told September Net that the militia launched several artillery rounds at Al-Shaqab in Saber Al-Mawadim District. The shelling came hours after 65-year-old Qabool Saeed Aqlan was killed when a landmine planted by the Houthi militia exploded while she was at her family’s farm in the Najd Almuraqab area.

Local statistics show that landmines planted by the Houthi terrorist militia have killed or injured 33 civilians in Al-Shaqab, while the number of serious violations committed by the militia against residents has exceeded 14,014. More than 8,700 artillery and mortar shells have also targeted civilian facilities in the area since the outbreak of the war.

Meanwhile, Houthi artillery shells targeted residential neighborhoods and local villages in Maqbanah District, west of Taiz, as the militia continued its attacks against residential areas and villages near the frontlines.

The Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia continues to use artillery and landmines against civilians and their property, while landmines and explosive remnants of war remain a persistent threat to residents, particularly in farming areas and villages near the frontlines.
