Kuwait Emir Receives Written Message from President al-Alimi

The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received a written message from His Excellency Predident Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Head of The Presidential Leadership Council.

The message deals with bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

The message was delivered by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba to Kuwait’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, during her Gulf tour.

The two sides discussed the historic and fraternal ties between Yemen and Kuwait, opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation, and developments in Yemen and the wider region.

Kuwait reaffirmed its support for Yemen’s security, stability, unity and sovereignty, as well as efforts to end the suffering of the Yemeni people based on agreed-upon terms of reference.

Minister al-Zouba expressed Yemen’s appreciation for Kuwait’s longstanding political, humanitarian and development support, and stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral coordination.

She also briefed the Kuwaiti leadership on efforts by Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council and government to restore state institutions, advance economic and institutional reforms, and enhance security and stability.

Al-Zouba further emphasized that supporting the Yemeni state in restoring its sovereignty is a shared Yemeni and Gulf interest, and reaffirmed Yemen’s solidarity with Kuwait and other Gulf states in confronting threats to regional security and sovereignty.
