President Hadi receives UK Ambassador to Yemen
President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi received on Tuesday Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to Yemen Michael Aron.
Discussions focused on the latest development in Yemen and the role of UK in supporting the legitimate government.
President Hadi stressed keenness of the government on realizing permanent peace despite Houthi militia stubbornness in implementing the agreements, the last of which was Sweden’s agreement on the city of Hodeidah
He confirmed the government support to the UN Special envoy to reach peace, calling the international community to seriously pressure Houthi militias to surrender to peace and save the blood of Yemenis.
The British ambassador expressed his appreciation for the flexibility shown by the legitimate government and its keenness to achieve peace, stressing that his country will do what is necessary to support the legitimacy to get Yemen out of the current war.
