Yemen has condemned the US administration’s decision to recognize the sovereignty of the Israeli entity on the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
In a statement of which Saba received a copy, Yemen’s Foreign Ministry said: “This is a violation of international law and contrary to the relevant international resolutions, especially Security Council resolution 497 (1981), which declared that the Israeli Golan Heights Law which effectively annexed the Golan Heights is null and void and without international legal effect.”
Yemen reiterated its steadfast rejection of seizing the territory of others by force, an act disapproved of by the United Nations and international law.
Yemen reiterated that this act does not change the legal status of the Golan Heights as an occupied Syrian Arab land.
