Info Minister, German official discuss boosting peace in Yemen
Minister of Information Mo’amar al-Eryani met on Thursday with German Deputy of Foreign Ministry for Middle East and North Africa Affairs.
They discussed boosting peace process in Yemen, exerting pressures on Houthi militia to implement the Stockholm Agreement.
Al-Eryani confirmed the government keenness to achieve a comprehensive peace based on the three terms of reference; GCC Initiative, National Dialogue Conference and UNSC resolutions 2216
The Minister appreciated German support to Yemeni people to relieve their suffering and humanitarian tragedy triggered by Iran-backed Houthi militia.
Al-Eryani noted that, the government has offered concessions for the sake of peace, however Houthi militia continues to avoid the implementation of Stockholm Agreement, calling on German to use its diplomatic ties to exercise pressure on Houthi militia to abide by peace accords they signed.
For his part, the German official stressed that his country supports and deals only the constitutional legality in Yemen under the leadership of His Excellency President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
He expressed his country’s strong dissatisfaction with the continued refusal of the coup militias to implement the accords were signed.
“It is clear to everyone that Houthis refuse to implement the accords, and no one understands what they want,” he stated.
