Five civilians, including a child, were killed on Sunday evening as mortar shells fired by Houthi militia landed on a residential area downtown Taiz province.

“The Houthi rebels positioned in Taiz outskirts fired a number of mortar shells indiscriminately, one of the shells landed on Houd-Alashraf neighborhood, killing five civilians, including a child, and injuring six others,” medical sources said to September Net.

The Houthi militia continue to bombard residential neighborhoods in the densely populated city of Taiz, causing death and injury to civilians, the majority of whom are children and women.
