Yemen’s Gov. determined to counter Separatists coup, similarly as the Houthi coup, Info Minister says
The Yemeni government will counter the coup by separatists in Aden similarly did with the coup by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in Sana’a, Yemen’s Information Minister Muammar Al-Eryani said.
Members of the Southern Transitional Council militarily seized last Sunday Yemen’s temporary capital from the internationally recognized government, locked in years long war with Houthis who seized the capital Sana’a in 2014.
On his Twitter account, Al-Eryani said what happened in Aden was not only blow to the Yemeni social fabric but also to the pan-Arab front against the Iranian agenda.
He said that colluding with the new coup “delegitimizes the Arab Coalitions intervention” in Yemen.
