At least five militants, including a field leader, killed and seven injured during fierce battles with national army (NA) in Muris district north al-Dhale province.

Military sources told September Net that NA forces managed to foil an attempt by coupists to infiltrate into their positions in Yias area, Muris district and engaged in violent clashes amid exchanging artillery shelling, forcing rebels to flee.

“Five militants including the field leader ,known as Abo Sofian, killed and seven others injured during the battles”, the source added.

The militia responded to their desperate attempts by indiscriminately shelling on a number of villages in the district.
