The National Army forces managed on Sunday to retake control a number of strategic sites, after fierce battles with the militia coup in Makbana west of Taiz city.

Military sources told September Net that the army forces seized control over Alqahifa village and achieved wide progress towards Albaraqah mountain in Makbana district.

The battles resulted in numerous deaths and injuries among the militia, as well as the national army forces seized large quantities of weapons and ammunition from the liberated locations.

The sources added that the battles still ongoing with exchange artillery fire between the army and the rebels.
