Engineers dismantle three fields of landmines in Shabwa

Engineers have completed dismantling three major landmine fields planted earlier by Houthisin Osaylan district in Yemen’s southeastern province of Shabwah.
The chief of a technical team consisting of experts from the army and the National Mine Action Program Eng. Abdullah al-Masritold Saba that three major landmine fields have now been completely dismantled in Moqayriba, Sofah and Jannah areas in Oseilan of Shabwah.
Government sources say the Houthi rebel militia planted quarter a million landmines since March 2015 in Yemen. The landmines have killed and injured hundreds of civilians so far.
