The army forces seized control over fresh positions after fierce battles against Houthi coup militiamen in the eastern front of Taiz city on Friday.

Local sources told September Net that the army troops launched an attack targeting Houthi rebels stationed in Almakrsmi mountain, Alsalal hill and Alaresh area, controlling over Almaroat hill eastern Saber mountain.

The coup militias suffered a number of killed and wounded in addition to major losses in equipment, added the source.

In parallel, the Saudi-led Arab Coalition warplanes launched several airstrikes targeting positions, gatherings and vehicles in Alhoban area eastern the city.

It’s worth noting that Houthi militias targeted with artillery shelling residential neighborhoods eastern the city.

Local eyewitness told September Net that a 37 year-old women known as “Waleah Ali” and her one-year grandchild were martyred as the coupists targeted their house with artillery shell in Tha’abat neighborhood.

Meanwhile, the militia rebels launched similar artillery shelling on populated village of Alhood in al-Selw district, wounding two children and causing serious damages to houses and properties.
