National Army liberates new areas in the east of Taiz

National armed forces retook control over new areas in the district of Maweah southeast of Taiz after fierce battles against Houthi coup militia on Sunday.

Saba news agency quoted military source as saying that the army troops launched fierce attack against Houthi militia’s positions in the south of Maweah, resulting in the liberation of al-Mahanah and al-Kharabah areas.

Several Houthi militiamen were killed and wounded during the battles, added the source.
