Army’s engineering teams continue to remove mines Houthi militia had placed in Yemen’s southern province of Shabwa.

Military Staff of the 19th Inf. Brigade, Col. Musa’ed Al-Harethi told September Net “the demining teams have extracted dozens of mines and explosive devices the rebels Houthi militia had laid in Osailan district earlier before being driven out by the National Army.

“We have removed and destroyed huge number of such Houthi landmines and explosive devices since last April 2018,” the Col. said.

Houthi putschist militiamen largely and randomly planted landmines everywhere in the regions they control, leaving hundreds of civilian casualties mostly women and children.
