National army forces repulsed an attack on Wednesday carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in Hodeidah province western Yemen.

Several elements in the Houthi militia tried to advance towards positions in the outskirts of Hais district, but the army forces thwarted their attempt and forced them to flee.

A number of Houthi militiamen were killed and injured during the clashes.
