National army defeats an attack by the so-called STC’s militias in Shabwa

The Yemeni national army forces late on Thursday, defeated a fierce attack by the militias of the so-called UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)in the southern province of Shabwa.

The militias of UAE-backed separatist (STC) attacked the city of Ataq, the center of the province of Shabwa, in an unsuccessful attempt to control it.

The army forces thwarted the attempted of the rebel militias, forcing them to retreat and flee.

The fighting resulted in heavy human and material losses on the militias’ side.
