Yemeni National Army has taken control over key areas on Tuesday after scoring significant advances against Houthi militia in the southern province of Al-Dhale.

The army forces were able to liberate large parts of al-Zebriatbat and Salim and al-Fakher regions in Hajr warfront, west of Qataba district, in the north of the province.

Tens of the Iran-backed Houthi militiamen were killed and injured during the battle and the rest militants fled toward the central province of Ibb.

The national army forces are now clearing and securing the liberated areas after driving out the rebel militia, and pushing forward in the direction of Ibb city to retake it.
