Prime Minister Receives Russian Ambassador, Discusses Enhancing Joint Cooperation

Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani received today the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Yemen, Evgeny Kudrov, to discuss bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance joint cooperation across various fields.
The Prime Minister praised the longstanding historical relations linking Yemen and the Russian Federation, stressing the importance of further developing and strengthening bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.
Dr. Zindani reviewed the latest developments in Yemen, as well as the political, economic, and humanitarian challenges facing the government.
He also briefed the Russian Ambassador on the government’s efforts to implement a comprehensive reform agenda, including economic and financial reforms, enhancing the efficiency of state institutions, and improving the level of public services.
For his part, Ambassador Kudrov congratulated the Prime Minister on the formation of the new government, wishing him success in carrying out his duties during the coming phase.
The Russian Ambassador affirmed his country’s support for efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in Yemen, and expressed the Russian Federation’s readiness to continue cooperation and coordination with the Yemeni government in a way that contributes to fulfilling the aspirations of the Yemeni people for stability and development.
