PM arrives in Geneva to participate in fund-raising conference to finance Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen
Prime Minister Dr Ma’een Abdulmalik arrived Sunday in Geneva to contribute to fund-raising conference aims to secure necessary resources to finance 2019 Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen. He is also to participate in the 40th round of UN Human Rights Council.
The fund-raising conference is organized by the UN OCHA, co- sponsored by Switzerland and Swede.
The event is scheduled for 26 of February and the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres will preside over its sessions.
Dr Ma’een is set to deliver a speech tomorrow, Monday, at the 40th round of the UN Human Rights Council.
On the sideline of the fund-raising conference, he is going to meet with the UN Secretary General, Sweden Foreign Minister, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the Netherlands, the British Minister of State for Middle East and International Cooperation and Vice President of the Switzerland Federation.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by Minister of Local Administration Abduraqeeb Fatah, Minister of Human Rights. They were received by Yemen’s Ambassador to Geneva Ali Mohammed Mujawer.
