Saudi air defenses down Houthi ballistic missile toward Najran

Saudi Air Defense Forces on Friday have downed a ballistic missile launched by Houthi rebels against the city of Jizan from Amran province, north Yemen, said the spokesman for the Saudi-led Arab Coalition supporting Yemen’s government.
Spokesman for the coalition Col. Turki Al-Maliki said in a press statement that the missile was deliberately fired to target residential areas, and fragments of the destroyed missiles sprinkled over neighborhoods but fortunately no casualties have been reported yet.
“This hostile act by the Iran-backed rebel militia proves the continued involvement of the Iranian regime in supporting the militia with quality capabilities in a clear defiance of the UN resolution no. 2216 and resolution no. 2231 to threaten the security of the kingdom and the regional and international security.”
