National army troops have liberated Tuesday new positions following fierce battles against Iran-backed Houthi coup militia west of Taiz Province.

Military sources said to September Net, the armed forces in 17th infantry brigade had regained control over Alkasr valley and Alwytar area in Al-Akhlood area of Makbanah district western Taiz.

The coup militias inflicted heavy losses in life and combat equipment during the battles, added the source.

In parallel, the national army, with the support of the Arab Coalition air forces conducted violent attack against militias’ sites in Al-Aneen area of Gabal Habashi, liberating the area of Dar Al-Akeerah.
