National army forces thwarted on Saturday an attempt by the Houthi militia to attack army’s sites in the warfront of Al-Malaheed south-west the province of Saada.

Mukhtar Al-Sho’ebi one of the army field commanders in the warfront said to September Net that the army forces blocked a militia attack on positions under the control of the army in the directorate of Al-Daher in Al-Malaheed.

He noted that the militia recently dealt with enormous material and morale losses, as well as they lost vast territories to the army forces.

“The militia suffered a painful defeat during its failed attack that led to the killing and wounding of tens of its militiamen,” said the Information Officer of the front, 1st Lieutenant Abdullah Al-Mathani.

He added that the national army troops re-seized huge quantities of medium and light weapons from the militia during the battles.
