The army in Al-Jouf province has removed about one hundred landmines and explosive devices planted by the Houthi militia in Khab Al-Shaaf district before they were pushed out of it by the army.
The commander of Al-Hasm Brigade, brigadier Hadi Hamran Al-Jaedi told September Net that the army’s engineering teams had extracted and dismantled approximately 100 mines and explosive devices with different size and function.
He said the militia planted these mines and explosives on the public primary and secondary roads as well as farms.
He said that dozens of the displaced families in the said district and surrounding areas were subjected to the dangers of those mines while returning to their houses, confirming that mine-clearance operation will continue until the district is completely cleared and safe.
