The National Armed Forces have taken control over two villages during a surprised attack against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in the district of Baqem north of Sa’ada governorate .

Brigadier Yasser al-Harithi, the commander of Azaal brigades, told September Net that the armed forces managed to retake the two villages of “Al Maeed” and Al Alhomaikani”, from the militia members, which suffer heavy human and material losses.

30 Houthi rebels were killed and scores were injured in the clashes. The army destroyed several combat vehicles for them as well, al-Harithi affirmed.

Houthi militia planted-as always- large numbers of mines and explosive devices in residential neighborhoods and public roads of the liberated area before they fled from them. About 200 mines and explosive devices were removed by the army’s demining teams from the freed areas.
