At least 14 Palestinians were injured, including two journalists and three paramedics, by live fire or rubber-coated bullets on Friday as Israeli forces attacked Palestinians taking part in the weekly Great March of Return protests at Gaza-Israel border, according to the Ministry of Health.

The forces fired live bullets and rubber-coated steel rounds at the protesters who gathered at many encampments along the border, injuring Ahmad Ghanem, a correspondent of Al-Mayadeen TV, and journalist Mohammad Abu-Qadus, in addition to three paramedics. 10 other protesters also sustained injuries from Israeli forces’gunfire during the protests.

Some of the wounded were moved to hospital and others were treated in the field hospitals.

At least three ambulance vehicles were directly hit by teargas canisters at many of the encampments long the east border of the Strip.

More than 205 Palestinians have been killed and over 22,000 others injured by Israeli forces since the outbreak of the Great March of Return protests at Gaza border on March 30, 2018.

Most of the casualties occurred on May 14,2018 when Israeli forces attacked Palestinian protesters marking the 70th anniversary of Israel’s occupation of historical Palestine, elsewhere referred to as the Nakba of 1948, and the ensuing ethnic cleansing of half a million Palestinian refugees.
