National Demining Program ( NDP), along with the Saudi demining project( MASAM) destroyed on Friday thousands of mines and  improvised explosive devices planted by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in al-Jawf province.

The destruction came just two days after some 868 mines were also removed from various liberated areas in the province of Al-Jawf, last Wednesday.

General Director of the NDP was quoted by ( Saba) saying that today’s destroyed quantity is estimated with thousands and included Barrel bombs, anti-tank mines and anti-personnel mines, improvised explosives devices and UXOs, all of which in three sites in the district of Alyatama” in Al-Jawf province
