National army forces captured on Saturday 45 Houthi militants in Abss district in the northwestern province of Hajjah. 

This comes as the army forces continue its military operation launched last Thursday to regain Abss district from the control of the Houthi militia. 

The army has taken control over strategic positions during the operation, including the villages of “Bani Kidish” Al-Akwa” and “Al-Khama”. 

The army forces reached Al-Dhahr village near Al-Badah market, in the center of Bani Hasan sub-district and managed to cut off the international route leading to Abss Shafar. 

The ongoing battles  have resulted in dead and injured among the militia, while several militia vehicles were destroyed.
