At least 20 Houthi rebels were killed and 30 others were injured in clashes with the Yemeni national army in the southern province of Al-Dhale on Tuesday.

The fighting erupted following a failed infiltration attempt by the Iran-backed rebel militia toward positions under the army’s control in the west of Murias district, northern the province.

The army forces backed by Arab coalition supporting the legitimate government, foiled the infiltration and forced the Houthi militants to flee.

Among the 20 killed militiamen was the leader of the rebels and the responsible of its sectarian activities in Al-Dhale province, the so-called “Abu Faeda”.
