Armed Forces Regain the Initiative Across Multiple Fronts in Taiz, Inflicting Heavy Losses on Houthi Militia

The Armed Forces on Monday regained the operational initiative across several combat fronts in Taiz Governorate, thwarting infiltration attempts and attacks launched by the Houthi terrorist militia over the past few hours.

A military source said that units from the Armed Forces, Security forces, and Popular Resistance engaged in fierce clashes across multiple fronts in the districts of Al-Shamaytain, Al-Mawasit, and Al-Ma’afir, as well as other areas. These forces have successfully retook the initiative and consolidated their positions following infiltration attempts carried out by Houthi militia elements and cells.

The source added that the clashes resulted in hundreds of casualties, both killed and wounded, among the militia’s ranks due to well-executed ambushes, sniper fire, drone strikes, and direct clashes. This coincided with airstrikes that targeted Houthi militia positions, reinforcements, and troop movements on several fronts.

According to the source, the Armed Forces have heightened their combat readiness across all fronts as part of broader military plans aimed at liberating the remaining territories of the country.

The source commended the resilience of the people of Taiz Governorate, who has steadfastly defied the militia and turned into a graveyard for its fighters and subversive projects.
