Houthi ground leader killed by army fire in Taiz

A high-ranking leader of the Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia was killed Friday in clashes with army in eastern Taiz province, southwestern Yemen.

Clashes broke out between the army forces and the Houthi militia, Friday morning, in Al-Arish front, east of Sabir district, in which the militia’s ground leader, Mohammed Mansour Faraa, was killed and others were injured.

The militia’s ground leader is considered one of the most important leaders in the Houthi militia ranks in Taiz province.
