Press conference highlights Houthi militia’s crimes in Al-Jawf

The Human Rights Office in Al-Jawf province held a press conference on Monday to highlight the crimes committed by Iran-backed Houthi militias during the period between 2015 and 2018.
The militias have committed 1722 violations ranged between destruction and vandalism of homes, private property and public facilities, according to report by human rights office in the province.
The report said that the Monitoring Group documented 32 houses were damaged , 35 schools and educational facilities were completely destroyed, 57 centers and shops were partially damaged.
The Monitoring Group has also documented the damaging of 1500 farms,10 water wells and detonation of 3 Parties’ buildings, in addition to the destruction of 10 government buildings and 6 health facilities.
“63 archeological landmark historic towns have become almost completely demolished in the various districts in Al-Jawf”, the monitors further added.
Governor of Al-Jawf province Maj.Gen. Ameen Al-Aukaimi said during the conference that the Houthi rebels committed crimes, the first of its kind through history.
Al- Aukaimi called the local and international organizations to activate humanitarian work in the province and to reveal the true of Houthi militia to the world.
