The rebel Houthi militia conducted live tests of the mines in Hodeidah province, west of the country, in a new attempt to threaten international shipping routes and targeting the interests of Yemen in implementation of the latest Iranian threats.

The sources revealed that “the leaders of the militia, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, and Abu Ali Al-Hakim, to conduct live tests of dangerous sea mines in Hodeidah ports”.

The sources said that “they ordered in April, experts believed to be affiliated to the Lebanese Hezbollah, the detonation of 3 mines in the sea at Ras Issa oil port north of Hodeidah.

“The militia conducted a similar test in the coastal area of ​​Al-Arj on the Red Sea”, the sources said.

Houthi militia continues to plant and bombard lands and densely populated areas of civilians and residents in different parts of the country, killing hundreds of unarmed civilians.

Mines planted by the Houthi militia have killed dozens of fishermen on the west coast.

As a result of these mines, fishing has stopped in many areas, affecting thousands of families who depend on fishing.
