The Iran-backed Houthi militia continues to loot humanitarian aid from the stores of international organizations in the capital Sana’a.

Eyewitnesses said to September Net that the Houthi insurgents transferred humanitarian aid relief from the warehouses of international organizations to their own stores and the houses of their leaders in the neighborhood of Shamlan in Ma’een district.

Meanwhile, Local Administrative Minister Abdul-Raqeeb Fatah has affirmed that the Yemeni government would not accept the continuing stealing of relief and assistance by the Houthis.

He further criticized the silence of the international community towards the Houthi acts, stressing that the Yemeni people are subjected to the Houthis’ continuing terrorism and crimes.

Moreover, Media reports have revealed stealing of food assistance by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels.

The CNN report says that the Houthi rebels have stolen around 1,200 metric tons of aid in the form of food in the capital Sana’a.

According to the report, this trend has been around for a while, with the UN releasing a report in 2018 claiming that 1 percent of its aid was not going to their allocated areas. But in reality, many families are not being helped.”

The UN World Food Programme accused last month the Houthis of looting trucks of assistances provided to the Yemeni hungry people.

WFP demanded an immediate end to the diversion of humanitarian food relief in Yemen after uncovering evidence of the practice in the capital Sana’a and other parts of the country controlled by the Houthi Movement
